PJ Spreading is a family owned and operated business located in the beautiful southern end of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Established by Paul Rudy in 2000, the company became the “go-to” name for poultry bedding spreading in Central, PA. PJ Spreading has become known for it’s innovative equipment that not only allowed maximum effectiveness in spreading wood shavings and other bedding products, but the ability to take on even greater challenges like two story houses and low clearance barns.

In early 2023, the business transferred ownership from Paul Rudy to his son-in-law Ryan Hair. Ryan manages the operations of the business and supports the spreading crews when needed. Paul repairs and maintains the equipment and supports the spreading crews when needed.

The business currently employs 4 individuals, one of which being Paul’s grandson, QJ Hanna, now representing the third generation in this family business. We value the importance, reward, and calling of hard work and operating the business with highest integrity, as this is what we are called to do as followers of Jesus Christ.
